Young Women in the Garden

A short series inspired by early Impressionist paintings by Impressionist artists: Mary Cassatt, Berthe Morisot, and Camille Pissarro. With this series, I connected my love for this movement, where artists pursued themes of modernity by choosing subjects grounded in the reality of their time; they were intrigued by capturing the epic moments of everyday life. This short series merges these Impressionist ideals, particularly capturing their subjects grounded in nature, and my drive for further representation of black and Latinx women throughout my imagery.
